Cable Tray
Cable trays are typically used in factories and industrial centers for cable routing and the passage of control, signal, power, and general cables that do not produce excessive heat due to current flow. For this purpose, metal trays with either galvanized or painted coatings are used. These trays are secured to special brackets with bolts, and cables are placed in them.
The design of the cable tray follows global standards to ensure maximum load capacity and sufficient durability in various weather conditions. They are available in two types: perforated and non-perforated. Additionally, if you observe the edge of the cable tray, you will notice a height of approximately 30 to 150 millimeters, which is designed for strength and load-bearing capacity.
Cable Tray Coating
The most common method for coating cable trays is galvanizing, which is cost-effective and provides high resistance to environmental chemicals.
Galvanizing of cable trays can be done in two ways. In hot-dip galvanizing, black steel sheets are used to make the tray, and after construction, the tray is dipped into a molten zinc bath. This results in the zinc covering both the inner and outer surfaces of the tray. This method is typically used in humid environments and open spaces. In cold galvanizing, galvanized sheets are used to construct the tray, and this method is usually applied for covered or indoor spaces.
