Fixed Light Tower

A fixed light tower is a tall metal structure used to illuminate large areas. It consists of a metal body and multiple floodlights, which are designed with varying power levels based on the lighting needs of the area. Unlike movable light towers, the floodlights on fixed towers are stationary and mounted on the tower’s basket. Maintenance and repairs of the floodlights and lamps must therefore be performed at height.

Types of Fixed Light Towers

Ladder Model: Equipped with a ladder integrated into the tower structure. The ladder includes safety guards (life protection) to allow the operator to climb to the top and perform maintenance and repairs on the basket.

Ladder-less Model: Maintenance and repairs are carried out using a lift or crane. Note: For safety reasons, fixed basket towers are generally not built for heights exceeding 25 meters. In such cases, movable basket towers are recommended.

Fixed Light Tower Coating

The fixed light tower can be coated using three methods: hot-dip galvanization, epoxy paint, or alkyd paint. These coatings protect against corrosion and rust. The choice of method depends on factors like environmental humidity, budget, and architectural style. Hot-Dip Galvanization has an average lifespan of 30–35 years, whereas Industrial Paint has an average lifespan of 8–10 years.
