Pedestrian bridge
A pedestrian bridge is a structure installed to ensure the safety of citizens in crowded and high-traffic areas. In addition to its safety function, it also has the potential to support advertising billboards, which can generate revenue for the contractor, especially in high-traffic areas. These structures are installed on at least two pole-type or multi-faced supports and can also be equipped with escalators or special elevators for the disabled.
Aerial pedestrian bridge
With the expansion of cities and the increase in population, the construction of pedestrian bridges has become essential for easier and faster movement as well as for the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. Since elderly people, the disabled, and children use aerial pedestrian bridges, these structures must be mechanized. Mechanizing the pedestrian bridge can be done by adding either escalators or elevators.

Installation of Pedestrian Bridge
To install a pedestrian bridge, the columns are first installed and leveled. Then, the deck is assembled on the ground in one, two, or three parts and is lifted onto the columns using one or two cranes. In the next step, the bolts of the pedestrian bridge are tightened, and finally, the staircases and elevators are installed.
The structure of the pedestrian bridge is tubular and connected using flanged joints. After the work is completed, areas of the bridge that have experienced paint chipping during installation are touched up using specialized tools.

Construction of Pedestrian Bridge
The deck of the pedestrian bridge is generally designed in the simplest form with 5 parts, which include a cross-deck, two simple parts, and two end sections. In the standard construction of a pedestrian bridge, the cross-deck and the simple deck are built with a length of 6 meters, which are then connected at the installation site. To increase the length of the pedestrian bridge, more simple decks are added, and ultimately, the end decks are built according to the required span size.
The span of the pedestrian bridge varies depending on the type of project and order. For spans under 20 meters, two columns are sufficient. For spans between 20 and 35 meters, it is better to use three columns, and for spans over 35 meters, it is not possible to construct with columns. The columns themselves are usually built with a height of 6 meters, although they can be modified based on the installation site conditions. For the roof of the bridge, UV-resistant polycarbonate sheets are used to ensure resistance against moisture, sunlight, and other environmental factors. NIK Noor Company, as the manufacturer of pedestrian bridges, can also add advertising banners and billboards to the structure upon customer request.
